QuakeCon 2007: Quad Damage tournament is a wrap

After a rough and tumble group and bracket stage, the Quad Damage tournament is finally over. Johan “Toxjq” Quick defeated Magnus “fojji” Olsson three maps to two to win $20,000.

Fojji won Aerowalk (Q1) and Edge (Q2), while Toxjq won DM6 (Q3) and Phrantic (Q4). WIth the game tied, a roll of the dice decided the tiebreaker: Q4 would again be played. Monsoon was the chosen map, and Toxjq won to chants from the crowd.

“TOXJQ, TOXJQ TOXJQ,” they screamed, and he delivered.

Final results:
1. $20,000 - Toxjq
2. $12,500 - fojji
3. $7,500 - Dahang
4. $5,000 - Purri
5-8. $1,250 - naymlis, Lost Cauze, griffin, Chance
