World In Conflict gone gold, PC version hits stores Sept. 18
Sierra dropped the bomb today, announcing that the highly anticipated World in Conflict has gone gold.
The PC version of the game will be on store shelves Sept. 18. The Xbox 360 version, meanwhile, is still set to launch sometime in 2007.
World In Conflict PC comes in two versions: a standard $49.99 version and a $59.99 collector’s edition that comes with a piece of the Berlin Wall (!!!!!) and a History Channel DVD. In the alternate history of WIC, the Cold War never ended, so that explains the pack-ins.
I’m willing to pay $59.99 for a piece of the Berlin Wall on its own, but I suppose getting a real-time action game is a nice bonus. It’s definitely time to upgrade ye olde PC though, as WIC is no slouch in the graphics department.
