Lyn qualifies for World Cyber Games

June “Lyn” Park, has qualified for the World Cyber Games finals in Warcraft 3 today. To win a ticket to the finals in Seattle, the SK Gaming player beat Chun “Sweet” Jung Hee in the quarterfinal and the Electronic Sports World Cup champion, Lee “SoJu” Seong Deok, today.

Lyn opened up the score with a win on Terenas Stand, then lost Twisted Meadows and finally took Gnoll Wood. His victory is notable, since forum trolls and uneducated journalists suggested that Night Elf players have it easy against Orcs.

The name of the other Korean WCG representative for Warcraft 3 will be known tomorrow, as Jang “WhO” Du Sub will meet Jang “Spirit Moon” JaeHo in the other semi final.

The WCG finals will take place in Seattle on October 3-7 and South Korean players will be among the top contenders to win in RTS games.
