Spore. Where do we even start with Spore? Well, we could start with a single living cell and from there go on to conquering space. How does that sound? This is what EA’s game is.
Most people with but a little interest in videogames will know what the game is. For those that do not know it, here is a brief rundown:
The game has got five stages. The first one is where you start off in a tiny drop of water and try to survive and feed the single cell. Then you go to land, make babies with female creatures of your kind, then you start a settlement, turn it into a city, conquer continents, planets, solar systems and… entire universes.
Along the way, you get to choose how your cell develops, what it becomes and how it behaves in the future. Throughout the entire game, you will be able to have full control over where your cell / creature / civilization is headed. Based on your choices in the editor, the game figures out how whatever you did there will affect the world and behave in it.
In theory, the possibilities are endless.
