WoW: The Burning Crusade prints money for Vivendi

Vivendi, the massive French media conglomerate that owns Sierra and Blizzard, reported a 91.9 percent increase in earnings in its games division from last year, mostly due to the launch of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

We all knew they were making money, but to be 8.1 percent off of a 100 percent profit increase is fairly ridiculous. Vivendi, you can thank wholly addicted gamers like myself, some of the GGL’s developers, and Jason “Unholy” Carlton (who accounts for at least 23 percent of these profits alone thanks to his numerous accounts) for that kind of dough.

Now please, buff Paladins and nerf Warlocks. Thanks.
