CPL reembraces Counter-Strike
The CPL has announced that the Extreme Winter Championships will feature two $50,000 Counter-Strike tournaments - one for CS 1.6 and one for CS: Source. This means that CS is making a comeback to the CPL with a fairly big bang after the game was dropped in favor of World in Conflict and F.E.A.R. for the 2007 World Tour.
On top of those two tournaments, the CPL Winter event will also feature a match that will determine CPL’s 2007 Counter-Strike World Champion after the winners of each competition face each ohter in both games.

not being a big c.s. fan myself, I do think this quite noteworthy having to champs from each game play each other in both games. No matter who wins I can bet its gonna be loud!
