Arrrr! ‘Pirates of the Burning Sea’ be celebratin’ Talk Like A Pirate Day!

Flying Lab Software, creator of Pirates of the Burning Sea, is holding an event today in Seattle to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day.Visit the Seattle Aquarium tonight from 7-10pm to play PotBS with other pirate fans. Flying Lab will announce October 22 as the date retail pre-order begins for PotBS.

John “Ol’ Chumbucket” Baur and Tim “Cap’n Slappy” Laugel, who invented Talk Like a Pirate Day, have been immortalized as in-game characters.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a parody holiday invented in 1995 by Baur and Laugel, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate. So instead of “hello,” say “Ahoy, me haarrty!”
