Microsoft won’t ban early Halo 3 players, unless they’re employees

Contrary to popular belief, Microsoft won’t ban you from Xbox LIVE if you got your grubby mitts on a copy of Halo 3 early. If you are an employee of the company, though, you’re getting the hammer.

MS representatives also dropped this little tidbit: even if you aren’t connected to Xbox LIVE when you put the game into your console, your machine “remembers” that you played Halo 3.

So for any clueless Microsoft employees out there, the only way you can avoid the mark of shame is to never take that particular console online again. Harsh.
