Korea wins Soldier Front 2007 World Championship

Translations are starting to filter out from the Soldier Front 2007 World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand, and it looks like the Koreans have another feather to put in their cap.
After a grueling qualifying procedure and finals, Korea came out on top of the 5v5 competition, winning the grand prize of 7,000,000 Korean Won, or approximately $7,600 USD. Nearly 5,000 Thai spectators watched the event unfold at Esplanade Plaza.
Here’s a small gallery of the event and hit the jump for further details.
In total, six nations sent qualifying teams as representatives to the 2007 World Championship. See the list of competitors below:
Thailand (Thailand Amotel)
Japan (Japan KATANA)
Korea (Korea IT BanK)
Taiwan (Taiwan Wayi)
China (China CN clan)
USA (USA Baddies)
The finals culiminated in a battle royale with Thailand Amotel facing off against Korea IT BanK. Unfortunately for the Thai team, home field advantage didn’t allow them to overcome the Koreans, and they lost 8:4 in the grand final.
Final results:
1) Korea ~ $7,600 USD
2) Thailand ~ $4,300
3) Taiwan ~ $3,200
MVP: Thailand Amotel’s Charem Jongrak (most kills) ~ $1,000
