BeT wins WC3L berth, joins WE, MYM, SK

Beijing eSports Team earned the status of a Warcraft 3 Champions League finalist after today’s victory over We are Go. This season in the WC3L will be dominated Asian players.

Today’s game was an all-Korean affair. With star players like Dae Hui “FoV” Cho, Chun “Sweet” Jung Hee, Hyung Ju “Check” Lee or Jang “WhO” Du Sub, BeT were the favorites. With Park Chul “Shy” Woo being their only star player, We are Go are a team of “the best Korean unknowns.”

In the regular season, We are Go defeated BeT. But when it mattered most, BeT won 3-0. Here are the results:

Sweet > Shy (2-1)
Who > Space- (2-0)
Check + FoV > Ojjie + Shy (2-1)

The WC3L finals will be dominated by players from Asia. BeT and Meet Your Makers are all-Korean teams, World Elite has one Korean player and the rest are Chinese. The only team in the finals that has Europeans on the roster is SK Gaming, but its strength lies in the three Koreans they have. It is possible that SK’s Europeans will not get to play.

While the finals playoffs are over, there are still two relegation matches to be played. Staying in the WC3L for another season without having to re-qualify is at stake. Surprisingly, Four Kings will have to play Fnatic in one of the matches. The other relegation match will be a battle between Defining Stars and Mortal TeamWork.
