Korea’s NCsoft purchased outright the superhero-themed twin MMORPGs City of Heroes and City of Villains from developer Cryptic Studios for an undisclosed sum.NCsoft is opening a new Northern California studio to house those on the Cryptic dev team who accept an invite to join NCsoft.
Divested of the CoX titles, Cryptic will now be free to develop their new superhero MMO based on Marvel Comics’ properties.
In addition to the sale, NCsoft announced that all members of both titles will have access to both games.
