Film director Michael Bay has once again spoken out in the debate over the next high definition format. Last time Michael expressed anger at his film Transformers not being available on Blu-Ray disk, but only HD-DVD and DVD. This time, Bay called out Microsoft for their interference and deliberate delay tactics. Below is a quote from his blog website:
What you don’t understand is corporate politics. Microsoft wants both formats to fail so they can be heroes and make the world move to digital downloads. That is the dirty secret no one is talking about. That is why Microsoft is handing out $100 million dollar checks to studios just embrace the HD-DVD and not the leading, and superior Blu-Ray. They want confusion in the market until they perfect the digital downloads. Time will tell and you will see the truth.
Mr. Bay calls Blu-Ray the “superior” format and hinted that Microsoft was behind the now infamous Paramount payoff.

Well, if Bay is as good at business analysis as he is at making movies — then this is total BS.
