From Wired:
In response to a post on the official World of Warcraft forums asking about Blizzard’s recent job listing seeking a “Lead 3D Character Artist - Next-Gen MMO,” Blizzard Community Representative Drysc confirmed that Blizzard is, in fact, seeking employees to help them work on “an unannounced Next-Gen MMO.”
Drysc then specified that this new project was not an expansion for the current World of Warcraft universe, leading many in the thread to speculate that the project could be anything from the oft-whispered-about Starcraft [sic] MMO to a persistent world based on The Lost Vikings or Blackthorne.
Here are my guesses, in order of probability:
World of Warcraft 2 — WoW will be getting pretty old and creaky in a few years. It’s past time Blizzard looked to a new game based in the same world.
World of Diablo — Of all of Blizzard’s existing properties, this is the one most suited for an MMO. Still, how would it be significantly different in look and feel from WoW?
World of StarCraft — The world needs a decent sci-fi MMORPG. But is the StarCraft universe really suited for an MMO?
World of New IP — Blizzard will probably stick to their tried and true Intellectual Properties. But they could pull some fresh ideas out of their collective asses.
World of the Lost Vikings — Not really a possibility, although a viking MMO could kick ass. Hwaet!!!

I dunno, maybe they’ll pick up a new franchise. One that already has hordes of fans, just begging to part with their cash.
World of Naruto?
If they acquired the Firefly MMO, well, I’d crap my pants with joy.
Let’s not forget the possibilities with the merger of Activision.
Call of Warcraft
Soldier of Warcraft
World of MechWarrior
World of Tenchu
World of Tony Hawk
World of Bomberman
World of After Burner
World of Earthworm Jim
World of Pitfall
World of Zork!
I’ll put my money on Diablo. A few years back at E3 I remember reading an article where the author talked to someone at the Blizzard booth and they said Diablo 3 will talk place in heaven with hell invading. It’s suppose to use the WoW engine and play like WoW in the MMO way of things but there would be single player.
World of Zork is the BEST … IDEA … EVAR!
the job openings are on there for quite a while though ^^
World of Rock ‘n Roll racing? :P *lawl* (how I loved that game)
