Assassin’s Creed sales surprise us all

Ubisoft announced today that Assassin’s Creed has sold 2.5 million copies since its November 13th release. Originally it was predicted to sell 3 million copies by March. This is news because, according to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed is the fastest selling new IP ever in the US.

Needless to say, Ubisoft is having a pretty good year, projected to be pulling in 1.2 billion by the end of the fiscal year (March). They expect next year to be even better, projected to be making 1.4 billion. This increase is attributed to launching four new brands and seven franchises.
