PlayStation 3 update coming tomorrow

The details for the upcoming PS3 2.10 firmware update were released on the UK PlayStation site. The update, which comes out tomorrow, will mostly include media playback updates such as DivX and WMA. DivX playback will only work with non-copyrighted media under 2GB. There will also be Blu-ray disk profile 1.1 support.

A cool feature included in the update will be a voice changer, allowing you to adjust the pitch of your voice over the mic.

Another feature included in the update is a new music bitmapping process. This new process will help enhance audio playback.

There are really no life-changing features in the update, but cool nonetheless. I am always happy to see DivX playback included in an update. It allows me to watch all my old skateboarding videos without having to hunt for them in my closet.
