Once upon the time, Quake came out and started to spread all around. There were good and bad years for Quake and especially for the international Quake scene, but now, the time has come where you Quakers get a chance to change it.
I’m quite disappointed about how big tournaments are turning around games for each year and situations where Quakers are waiting if theirs game will be added or not. Each of the Quake series games is somehow special, it’s in the scenes that are around each game and way how they are trying to bring their game to the top.
Quakeworld and Quake 4 did great in last years’ great leap. Quake 3 was hit by the merge of CPMA and OSP under one mode and there are still many players that are sticked to OSP. To help this situation [M]aniek from Poland prepared the OSP2CPMA CFG Converter.
I started in Czech Republic at time when Quake 4 was gold and the Quake 3 scene was falling into the darkness, but after one year, we were able to hold all the things back in great shape and with cooperation through out all Quake scenes we stood our ground and even improved our position. The most important part of this was cooperation of scenes. Some Quakers around still believed that Quake would be a game that can change gaming. I’m quite sure we can succeed!
At this point I would like to thanks to ESWC for re-adding Quake 3 duel into theirs action, because Quake 3 is one of best prepared games for casting. The only better game at this point is Quakeworld.
Czech Quake would like to invite all Quake Nations into a Team Deathmatch Cup that will be played in Quakeworld, Quake 2, Quake 3, and Quake 4.
Since I’m noob, I still know little about the Quake 2 scene which had its own NDML under Q2Scene.net and I don’t know any opinions from that scene … working on it.
There will be some more info about the Quake Nations Cup soon, but the official channel of this action will be #quakers.ws on irc.quakenet.org.

The last day registration will be open is Jan. 13, 2008. The first week of games will start on Jan 14, 2008.
