StarCraft GOMTV Season 4 - Bisu Out! Jaedong In?

Bonjwa? Unstoppable Protoss? After losing to Song “Stork” Byung Goo in the Ever OSL quarter finals, fans have begun to question Bisu’s ability to hold onto his throne.

With the Group B of GOMTV MSL Season 4 taking place on Jan. 3, fans couldn’t have been more excited for the group of death that included Bisu, Jaedong (winner of the most recent Ever OSL), Julyzerg and Yellow[arnc].

First Match: Bisu < Jaedong
Second Match: YellOw[ArnC] < July
Winners: July < Jaedong
Losers: Bisu < Yellow[ArnC]
Final: July > Yellow[ArnC]

Jaedong, after having dismantled Stork 3-1 in the Ever OSL finals, was out to prove that his win this wasn’t due merely to his opponent’s terrible PvZ and that he could take down any Protoss - including Kim “Bisu” Taek Yong.

What resulted was a match where Jaedong’s fire truly showed, and he defeated his opponent and advanced easily to the next round.

Bisu, however was not spared the same fate. After losing to Jaedong on the two player map Blue Storm, he went on to lose his second match to another Zerg player - Yellow[arnc]. Not a good showing for the player who dethroned Savior, mastered the “beesuit” strategy, and seemed unstoppable to Zergs everywhere.

What does this mean now?

We may have a new Bonjwa on the way. Lee “Jaedong” Jae Dong is simply on fire right now. He has won his last 7 games in a row, took down a number of notable players to achieve his OSL finals and has helped push his team Lecaf OZ to the #1 position in the Proleague.

With Bisu out of the way, there really is no one to challenge his path to the finals and on his current course could readily take this MSL title. Now fans must wait for the Proleague 2nd set of semi-finals (Jan. 19) where Lecaf will take on the 2nd place team MBCGame Hero and pay attention to the remainder of this MSL Season to determine if Jaedong can rightfully claim the throne of Bonjwa.
