Two teens charged in PSP death

A pair of teens has been charged in the death of 17-year-old Miami resident James Felton-Maitland, who was hit by a truck and killed when the two teens allegedly tried to steal his PlayStation Portable.

Jamila “Jam” Brown, 19, and Keith Lebrone Goa, 17, have been charged with second-degree felony murder and strong-arm robbery. Although the death was accidental, it is considered murder because it happened during the commission of a felony.

The attack took place on December 27; Felton-Maitland died in the hospital January 5th.

The police initially called the death an accident — but the victim’s family hired a private investigator who located the assailants.
