Update: EA has clarified the report, saying that not all of the games listed are necessarily in development.
After the critical and commercial success of both Skate and Burnout: Paradise, it comes as no surprise that EA plans on continuing these franchises. According to Frank Gibeau, EA Games president, Skate, Burnout: Paradise, and the Need for Speed franchise would “see extension” before April 2009.
“Extension” eh? Does that mean downloadable content or full fledged sequels? Considering the developers of Skate said that they were not going to put out any DLC, I would put my money on sequels.
