A few days ago, I posted a news item about the Call of Duty 4 map pack. Now comes word that GameStop is hosting a preview event/party for the upcoming map pack. Dubbed the “Variety Map Pack Challenge Event,” attendees will be able to play the upcoming maps for various prizes, including a $1,000 gift card. Along with the gaming, there will be a Q&A session with the developers of COD4, trivia contests and eye tests.
Unfortunately for most of us, the event, which takes place on March 28, will only be held in New York City and San Jose. If you plan on attending you can register here. The first few who sign up will get a token that lets you download the map pack for free.
Sounds like fun. Too bad I lack the funds and the time to trek from Columbus, Ohio to NYC. If any of you plan on going drop us a comment letting us know how it went.
