Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade purge explained
There has been a lot of talk about Microsoft removing Xbox Live Arcade games from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Today Microsoft’s Xbox Live product manager Aaron Greenberg clarified the situation.
According to Greenberg: ““The reality is we’re not removing any games from the service, if you will. They’ll always be there for purchase. Think about a book on Amazon. It’s not always going to be featured on the front page of the store.”
Gamers will be able to re-download titles that you have purchased, even if they are removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace menu. If you want to buy a game that is off the menu, all you have to do is have a friend recommend it and you will be given the option to buy it. This may not be the best solution, but at least you still have access to the games.
