Ladder play continues in GGL’s Digital Games, with a number of standout players and teams coming to the forefront to represent their countries and gaming communities.
The most rabid players reside on the Warcraft III European ladder, where Paladyn continues to feast on players who are challenging his first place spot. Paladyn now holds a 34-5 record, 4440 points and a 3W streak.
dmZfederal (22-10, 3600, 2L) and iesbly4eg (24-4, 3480, 3W) are holding it down in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
On the North American StarCraft front, Artosis has held onto his first place spot, although he does have a 2L streak. This could be problematic because, if memory serves correctly, there are no newbies on this ladder. We’ll continue to keep an eye on Artosis as the ladders go on.
In European StarCraft news, LoWeLy leads the ladder with a 5-2 record, 1580 points and an unfortunate 1L streak.
First person shooter players are also beginning to get active on the ladders, with the South American Call of Duty 4 ladder showing the fruits of their efforts. Brazilian team Canibais (a hilarious name if there ever was one) own the top spot with a 2-0 record, though how long it will last is anyone’s guess. Ready to Kill Clan follows closely behind.
While the Brazilians continue to shoot each other in the face, G2_Wolf prefers to beat his opponents using the clock. The North American Trackmania Nations Forever player leads his countrymen with a 3-0 record. It’s very early in the going, so wilameta (2nd) and CoryEarly (3rd) are still within striking distance.
Additionally, the European FIFA exhibition ladder is seeing good activity, with Latvian dragua forging ahead. He holds a 4-1 record and 1L streak, and will face off against the likes of Russian icantplaygood and the Latvian Fyyck in the near future.
Digital Games ladder play runs until July 27th, so there’s still plenty of time to get in on the action, win a medal, and represent your country. As always, you will need to be a GGL member to join up.
