If you guys have been keeping your ears to the street, one of the most rampant rumors running around is that Dead Rising is coming to the Wii. Today, Capcom made those rumors true. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop promises to be a more casual take on the original Dead Rising. In order to do this, Capcom had to make some of the major changes, including removal of the time system. Missions will be given in a linear order. When they are completed, the next one starts. No more checking your watch every five minutes to make sure you can get the good ending.

A few days ago, I posted a news item about the new Metal Gear Online expansion pack. According to Konami, the pack was released a little prematurely. In fact, it is so buggy that it has “major system related problems.”
What does that mean exactly? Well the list is too long and convoluted to post in its entirety, so here are some basics. The server load is too heavy, there are login problems, there are billing problems, the “Community Support Page”, “Reward Shop”, “Ranking Display” and “Online Help” are not working correctly.
Konami apologized for this debacle and has stated, “We are currently doing all in our powers to bring a permanent solution to the ongoing problems in the quickest possible time.” Hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

The StarCraft experts at Teamliquid have produced five reviews of StarCraft II from their time playing it at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris.
The consensus: The current build is a bit too easy for these hardcore SC players. Units are extemely mobile, hopping choke points at an alarming rate. And the Zerg Nydus worm unit could be the most overpowered thing since…well, since the term “overpowered” was coined.
Despite these drawbacks, the reviewers note that the game is gorgeous and still under development. Blizzard has a famously iterative development process, so nothing is set in stone until the game is released–and will certainly be patched after release, too.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
