Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop coming to Wii

If you guys have been keeping your ears to the street, one of the most rampant rumors running around is that Dead Rising is coming to the Wii. Today, Capcom made those rumors true. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop promises to be a more casual take on the original Dead Rising. In order to do this, Capcom had to make some of the major changes, including removal of the time system. Missions will be given in a linear order. When they are completed, the next one starts. No more checking your watch every five minutes to make sure you can get the good ending.

More details after the jump.

Chop Till You Drop will feature new enemies and items. It will also implement a Resident Evil 4 style camera angle. Like all Wii games, Chop will rely on motion controls. According to Capcom: “Basically, you use the Nunchuk to move and the Wii-mote to perform actions. You can press the A button to attack with your subweapon, but you can also attack by swinging the Wii-mote. That makes the attack stronger but expands the backswing — sort of like regular and heavy punches in a fighting game.”

I don’t know how I feel about this. Sure motion controls would make Dead Rising fantastic. But what about the Wii processing power? Does it have enough to render the hundreds of zombies necessary? Let us know what you think by dropping a comment below.
