Today Activision announced that on July 24, Guitar Hero III will be getting three new songs. Dubbed the “Virtuoso Pack,” the DLC features some of rock’s finest artists. Including Joe Satriani’s “Surfing with the Alien,” Steve Vai’s “For the Love of God,” and Buckethead’s “Soothsayer,” the pack promises to challenge even the best rockers. The pack will cost you 500 Microsoft Points ($6.25).

Now I may not be the biggest fan of these artists, but I can appreciate their skill. Do you guys think this pack is worth […]

Way back in March, I wrote up a little news story on the Puzzle Quest expansion, titled Puzzle Quest: Revenge of the Plague Lord. For those of you who don’t remember, the expansion is only arriving on the Xbox 360, via Xbox Live Marketplace. The add on brings four new classes, 25 new quests, 50 new spells and 40 new items. GGL: Please tell us your full name, age and occupation.
Dan Stemkoski / 25 / aspiring SC commentator/player.

GGL: How long have you been playing SC?
9 or 10 years.

GGL: What was your impetus for entering the Digital Games StarCraft competition?

GGL’s David Taylor conducted this interview prior to recent CGS results (MEGA spoilers!).

Mark Dolven is no stranger to a hard fight. The general manager of the Carolina Core made his mark on the pro-gaming community as the leader of Team Pandemic before leaving his post to join the Championship Gaming Series (CGS). During the 2007 season, Dolven led Carolina to second place finishes in both the North American and World Finals. His franchise suffered defeat on both occasions to the Chicago Chimera.

The Carolina Core’s 2008 season started out […]
