Yesterday, I wrote up a new item about the upcoming Watchmen game. Today a few more details surfaced. It turns out that the game will not follow the story from the comic or the movie, but in fact be a prequel. The new story is being penned by Len Wein, of Wolverine fame, and Dave Gibbons, the illustrator of the Watchmen comic. The game allows players to select either Nite Owl or Rorscharch. The unselected character will be AI controlled or played by a friend via split-screen co-op.
With the story being handled by some of the best in the business, most of my concerns have been put to rest. Plus co-op “brawlers” are always fun, especially when they are gritty and violent enough to be rated M; case in point The Warriors.
