Blizzard has updated the World of Warcraft Armory site to include in-depth statistics on professions, achievements, damage dealt and more.
To give you an example of how far the stats go, my character has apparently killed 2222 Undead, taken 71 flight paths and fallen to his death three times since these stats were recorded. Sadly, stats prior to the new Armory update seem to be lost to the gods of WoW.
Additionally, the damage statistics appear to be heavily inflated by vehicle quests where players can do 40,000 damage per shot to certain targets. These will inevitably be fixed, but until then, my character will have dealt 78,313 damage in one shot.
Blizzard will also be counting drowning deaths, so you’ll be able to figure out how many times you’ve drowned in the little lake in the middle of Thunder Bluff (I’ve done it once).
Hit the World of Warcraft Armory and search for your character to begin.
GGL had a chance to speak with Dakota “G2_Wolf” Watterson, winner of the Virtual Racing Season, about his practice and gaming habits, and views on the VRS. Wolf has been racing in Trackmania Nations Forever for quite some time and readily shared some details. Let’s get into it.

GGL: First, can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Dakota Watterson: Hi, I’m Dakota, 16, and a student.
GGL: How does it feel to have won the GGL Virtual Racing Season?
Watterson: I’m quite surprised considering who my opponent was for the finals. Seeing an ingame rank in the single digits is pretty intimidating, even for me.
GGL: Will you be able to make it to the Daytona 500 using the trip that you won?
Watterson: I’ll probably be going. I mean, why not? It’s a free trip.
GGL: How often did you practice Trackmania Nations Forever to secure your win?
Watterson: For the qualifying ladders, I didn’t really practice at all. During the finals brackets, I spent maybe 30 minutes practicing the maps for each match, and spent a couple hours practicing for the Finals match.

The time has come once again for retailers to pray that they’ll be profitable for the year. That’s right, Black Friday is almost upon us, and there’s blood in the water.
People aren’t spending on anything, layoffs are looming and prices on nearly everything are dropping as everyone feels the pain. So, if you have a need for a certain good and some money burning a hole in your pocket, you can haggle a rock-bottom price for almost whatever you want. That’s the good news.
Unfortunately, the bad news is that Black Friday will likely mediocre at best this year. Prices are already slashed–likely as low as they can go–on most big ticket items. You most likely won’t be walking out of a store with a heavily discounted TV or other large item (of good quality).
With that in mind, we’ve collected some of the better online and offline deals here for your gaming needs. Let’s get started, and keep in mind that these are obviously U.S.-only promotions.
Intel Core2Duo E4500 retail box - $59.99 @ Microcenter (in-store)
Microcenter has the retail boxed 2.2Ghz Intel Core2Duo for $59.99 in-store. This processor isn’t the latest and greatest, but can be overclocked easily for good value when it comes to gaming on the cheap. I’d say it’s worth standing in line to save the $40 extra you’d need to buy it at the regular price.

Today EA Black Box announced that the long awaited squeal to Skate, Skate 2, will arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 just after the new year. Hitting North American stores on Jan. 21, the rest of the world on Jan. 23, Skate 2 comes packed with numerous features and improvements over the original. One major improvement is the ability to hop off your board and walk around. Not only does this make getting up stairs a hell of a lot easier, but also allows the player to move objects in the environment to make custom trick lines.
In the announcement, EA Black Box stated that those who pre-order the game will receive a code that unlocks a “Throwback Pack.” The pack is described as “a special upgrade pack that includes retro clothing, accessories and gestures.” Hopefully I can relive my youth with a Misfits T-shirt and a Suicidal Tendencies tape in a ghetto blaster.
Keeping on the theme of player customization, EA Black Box will debut a web-based Graphics Creator sometime in Dec. which will allow skaters to create custom in-game clothing.
All I can say is, I can’t wait. I played Skate for months when I first got it, spending hours perfecting lines I could only dream about doing on my real skateboard. Skate 2 should help pass the winter months by until I can get out on my real board.

Two new color schemes have been added to the DS Lite pantheon, and you’ll be able to pick them up on Black Friday in case you want to line up to deal with the rampant consumerist insanity.
First, there’s a new red DS Lite branded with a Mario Brothers “M,” including a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Then there’s an Ice Blue DS Lite bundled with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. The Ice Blue DS Lite has been out in Japan since 2006 but never saw widespread release outside of the land of the rising sun.
Both bundles are priced at $149.99.
The total count for DS Lite color schemes, including limited editions, rose to a whopping 37 (correct me if I’m wrong and just can’t count) with the addition of these two colors.
