Activison announces COD:MW2, new Tony Hawk and James Bond titles

Yesterday Activision Blizzard confirmed some rumors circulating around some of their upcoming titles.

First off, Call of Duty 6 is going to be a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and is now known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Gamers can expect the title to hit sometime in fall 2009. Activision Blizzard also confirmed that Infinity Ward will be developing Moder Warfare 2.

Secondly, Activision Blizzard announced that the next Tony Hawk title will not use the standard gamepad, but rather some sort of peripheral. The unnamed Tony Hawk project is being developed for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS and should hit stores Oct. 2009.

Lastly, the company announced a new James Bond title. Rather than focusing on espionage and gunplay, the game will be a racing simulation. This project is being developed by Bizarre Creations, of Project Gotham Racing fame. According to Activision the new title can be described as “Mario Karts meets Forza.”
