Valve is making TF2 comic books
Yesterday, during his DICE keynote, Gabe Newell, co-founder and managing director of game development at Valve, stated that the team behind Team Fortress 2’s “Meet the” video series (example above) is currently working on Team Fortress 2 comics.
No other details were mentioned about the comics, except that they are a tactic to get gamers excited about Valve’s Games.
Personally, I love this idea. I am a huge comic book nerd and I feel that, despite not having a story, Team Fortress 2 is full of interesting and funny characters that would be at home in a comic. This just serves as a testament to how genius the folks over at Valve are. They have done such a good job with character design that players are able to determine the personalities of the characters just by what they say and how they say it. As soon as more details are released, you can be sure I’ll make a post.
