Yesterday Blizzard revealed that it is preparing “a new service” which will allow World of Warcraft players to change their faction. This means you could turn your Orc hunter into a Human hunter, and vice versa.
According to a post on the official World of Warcraft forums by a Blizzard employee, “We wanted to give everyone a very early heads-up that, in response to player requests, we’re developing a new service for World of Warcraft that will allow players to change their faction from Alliance to Horde or Horde to Alliance. There’s still much work to do and many details to iron out, but the basic idea is that players will be able to use the service to transform an existing character into a roughly equivalent character of the opposing faction on the same realm. Players who ended up creating and leveling up characters on the opposite factions from their friends have been asking for this type of functionality for some time, and we’re pleased to be getting closer to being able to deliver it. Today 2K Sports revealed the 10th Anniversary edition of NBA 2K10, and let me tell you, it is ridiculous.
Costing $99.99, the special edition comes with an exclusive Kobe Bryant action figure, a Kobe Bryant poster, a documentary about the NBA 2K series, and access to the “Gold Room,” a VIP online lobby. The package itself is a miniature locker, designed to hold 20 games.
As a Cleveland native and a die hard Cavs fan, I wish this Anniversary edition came with a Lebron action figure instead. Oh well, there’s always next season.

Thanks to a whole slew of developer interviews, new details on Starcraft II have arrived. In hopes of making your life easier, I’ve compiled all the major info here.
First off, there will be no LAN play in Starcraft II. According to Rob Pardo, senior VP of game design at Blizzard, the reason LAN play was left out “is because of the planned technology to be incorporated into Battle.net.” More details on what this means will be released later.
In regards to the up coming Starcraft II Beta, the Beta will last four to six months. Gamers will receive an email letting them if they have been accepted. Beta invites will be sent out in waves, so if you don’t get in on the first day, don’t fret.
Lastly, the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg tech trees have been revealed.
