The deadline for the first round of the Digital Games Regional Final Brackets have been extended to Saturday, August 9, to give players/teams who have not played a bit more time.
We won’t be able to extend the brackets again, so if you do not play your match by Saturday you will be forfeited out of the competition.
If you have played a first round match, please re-report the results, as some of the results were erased in the process of extending the round.

Sony announced today that the PlayStation Home beta is expanding its U.S. user base. In order to apply, PlayStation 3 owners must check out the PlayStation Store later tonight. A new PlayStation Home theme will be released. All you have to do is download the theme and bingo, you applied.

Today Rockstar games announced that, like all previous GTA games, Grand Theft Auto IV will be arriving on the PC. Hitting stores Nov 18, the PC port is being developed by Rockstar North. Today Sony announced SOCOM: Confrontation will arrive in both stores and the PlayStation Network on Oct 14. The PS3 exclusive shooter promises the same third person tactical action of the previous titles. It will be released in three different packaging bundles. Like Warhawk, SOCOM: Confrontation will be released on the PlayStation Network and in stores, either bundled with a Bluetooth headset or just the game disk.

Today Sony announced, at the end of this month, Warhawk will be getting over 50 trophies. The trophies will be introduced in the Aug 27 1.5 update. Some examples of trophy worth actions are: “hosting a game for four hours, playing a “perfect deathmatch” (come 1st, no deaths) and shooting down aircraft with a tank.”
The update also promises to include “custom music tracks from the Home Menu,” new paint options, and tutorial missions to help guide noobs.

Today Sony announced that the episodic survival horror title, Siren: Blood Curse, will be release in stores on Blu-ray. Originally the twelve episodes were only to be released on the PlayStation Network. After seeing that all twelve episodes would take up 40GB of hard drive space, Sony came to their senses.
