As you should know by now, Epileptic Gaming has switched over to a new format. Part of this new format depends on pre-filmed game previews and interviews, so here are several pieces from last Thursday’s show.
First, Robert Summa gets a bunch of previews from CES, the developers of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath give us a preview of the upcoming game, and we get a first look at Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.
Since Epileptic Gaming has switched over to a new show format based on more pre-produced segments, we’ll be gathering up the segments and posting them after the initial show.
EG148’s comedy segments included Summa visiting the AVN Awards for some fan service, deleted scenes from the new movie Cloverfield and a Life From the Future segment again featuring Summa. Watch below!
What happens when the GGL and Epileptic Gaming crew audition for a spot in Up All Night: Rock Band? Summa turns into even more of a camera whore and djWHEAT lays down the law in epic fashion.
The show returns to the weekly format with an emphasis on less of Summa yelling and interrupting people and more pre-produced segments. We have a bevy of badass stuff for you today. Here’s the dish on the segments:
1) A preview of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness.
2) An interview with C&C3: Kane’s Wrath lead producer Jim Vessella and lead designer Sam Bass.
3) Fan-service footage of the AVN Awards. Summa stuck a camera in some pornstar’s ass and told her to shake it. Film at 7.
4) More segments from CES. We roll like this because EG would rather not blow its load the moment every single website’s CES coverage hits the web. If there’s a problem, QQ more.
5) Deleted scenes from Cloverfield, everyone’s favorite shakycam monster movie for the YouTube generation.
6) Robert Summa time-travels again in “Live From the Future!”
7) Blackjack’s brand new EG Classics video: 17 minutes of pure oldschool djWHEAT and NiceGuyEd fury. If you don’t know what this is, check out one of the original EG Classics clip he’s done.
It’s no secret that Sony is rabid about the PlayStation 3 being the best videogame system around. However, a leaked internal memo stated that Sony has now acquired the most important recruit in all of PlayStation history. Here’s a clip of the new indoctrination video showing that recruit.
(This segment debuted recently on EG, as all you fans undoubtedly know).
It’s a Friday Free For All, which entails much craziness. But first: djWHEAT will evangelize the PlayStation 3 even more than normal, and you’ll get a peek at a Wii-killer device from CES.
If you suck at Rock Band like Summa, and can’t make it past the first song, you’ll need to know how to unlock all of the songs for when you have friends over.
Epileptic Gaming’s djWHEAT is no stranger to modding his gaming hardware, but the Rock Band instruments pushed him over the edge.
Driven mad by the lack of quality control that went into creating this hardware, WHEAT has resolved to show the world how to easily fix it once and for all. Up first: the drum pedal, which is known to break in two due to its use of cheap plastic.
Many of you out there already know that there are replacement metal pedals for sale on eBay. Wheat snagged one and is going to show you how to install it on a virgin drum pedal, so you can stop the breaking before it starts.
You’ll need a phillips-head screwdriver and your replacement pedal of choice. The one we chose is a $15 metal plate that includes seven self-fitting screws.
Self-fitting screws are key because they’ll dig right into the plastic without you having to drill pilot holes or otherwise deal with power tools. Don’t worry about breaking out the drill.
Robert Summa will go live from the future today, and djWHEAT will show you exactly how to mod your Rock Band drum pedal so it won’t break.
Also, Greg Baldwin, Lead Character Artist at Insomniac Games, will join us in the studio today as a guest. Greg has worked on an impressive list of games, from the Ratchet and Clank series (1-3 and Future), Deadlocked, Indiana Jones: The Emperor’s Tomb, and more. He’s also the artist on the new comic called PATH.
EG’s hosts will debut two brand new segments on the show today. What are they? One has something to do with your favorite drumming, strumming and singing game, while the other exists only in a post-gaming apocalyptic future…brought to you by Robert Summa.
Confused? Me too. That’s why I’ll be watching the show today at 7PM ET/4PM PT on epilepticgaming.ggl.com and wire.ggl.com, thanks to the magic of Stickam and uStream!
Cami wandered into the offices, so she’s on the show. Relevant topics of discussion include In the Name of the King (the Dungeon Siege movie) and a CES panel of so-called educational experts that claim videogames are teaching our kids that there are only two options in a conflict (fight or flight) as opposed to deductive reasoning. True? Not true? Tune in to get djWHEAT’s slant on the whole affair.
Also, we’ll be discussing the relevant news of the day.
