Lara Croft Way
In July, the city of Derby, UK asked for suggestions for names for new roads. More than hundred suggestions were received. It was then up to the city council to narrow them down and did so to shortlist 8. Among them were footballer Steve Bloomer and 16 century engineer George Sorocold and Lara Croft. All originating in Derby - so true icons of the city. The 8 possibilities were then voted on via the internet. To no surprise for gamers …
