UK video game sales hit all time high

Video game sales in the UK hit an all time high during 2008, with over 82 million games being sold. In total, Britons spent £1.9 billion on video games, with a further £1.422 billion spent on consoles. The overall figure for hardware and software sales is thought to be around £4.03 billion, according to ELSPA.
