Call of Duty 4 gets PAM competition mod
ClanBase’s DuRuS sends in this important news item.
The long awaited PAM, made by bullet-worm, the original maker of the CoD2 PAM, has released the first public beta of the mod for Call of Duty 4. With all the new ClanBase settings included in the release, it will be now even easier to start playing the game.
The new config that is due to be announced soon on the ladders, with the exact changes, has been implemented in the release of PAM. You will also find things such as strat time, allowing players to choose their weapons at the start of the round and decide on a tactic (rather than having to frantically do it once the round has finished and risk shooting your teammate at the start while you are clicking on the perks), Ready Up mode, making it a lot easier to get the game going, meaning you do not need to restart and rely on everyone choosing the right side, as well as the Half Time function, meaning again you don’t have to restart after one half, resetting all the scores.
This modis expected to be used in nearly all competition play, and one for public servers will be coming out soon.
ClanBase will be enforcing this mod, once all the rules have been changed on the different ladders. Details of the exact config changes will appear then as well.
Until then please use the current settings we have. We will update this article as and when the rules are updated.
Until then we want to thank bullet-worm for his excellent work here, and we hope that any bugs, (which he admits will be there), should be reported back here.
