$2,000 Call of Duty: World at War tournament: Week 1
Two days into the official portion of our $2,000 Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 tournament, several teams have jumped ahead of the herd to show off their skills.
We’re still in the early phases of the tournament, so expect some things to change as we march through the competition. Let’s take a look at the top five teams on each platform and try to predict what they’ll do next.

| 2 | Prophecies | 1820 | 9/1 | 8W | : | 2 | Dead Fresh Crew | 1420 | 4/2 | 2L |
| 3 | Tactics | 1700 | 7/0 | 9W | : | 3 | Vics22 | 1330 | 3/5 | 1W |
| 4 | Wolves of Honor | 1600 | 5/5 | 2W | : | 4 | Dare to Prevail | 1280 | 3/0 | 3W |
| 5 | brotherhood of rambo | 1460 | 4/3 | 1W | : | 5 | Plumberz | 1270 | 3/2 | 1W |
Bolt Action Killers and the aptly named Rapesauce have taken over the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ladders, respectively, trying to establish a status quo for the rest of the tournament. The problem, though, is that ladder tournaments are a little like the tortoise / hare race. It doesn’t always pay to be out in front with a target on your back, any many competitors have learned that lesson the hard way.
It remains to be seen if BAK and Rapesauce will fall into the same trap, or if they can hold the lead for a long period of time.
On the 360 side, Prophecies and Tactics are on the hunt for first place, so teams within their challenging window need to be prepared. Stay tuned as we follow the competition and the players in it on GGL; we’ll have more news as it comes.
