Release Roundup: Jan. 25

The big title arriving this week is Afro Samurai. Featuring the voices of Samuel L. Jackson and Ron Perlman as well as music from the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, Afro Samurai is the first game to be published under Namco Bandai’s western label Surge. Afro Samurai is your classic third person action game focusing on hack and slash combat. In order to match it’s anime and manga roots, Afro Samurai features highly stylized cel-shaded graphics.

To be honest I have never watched Afro Samurai so I couldn’t tell you the first thing about story. From what I’ve seen in trailers, the game looks good. Once I get some free time I plan on watching some episodes and then deciding if I should picking up the game.
