Resident Evil 5 hits PC on Sept. 14
Today Capcom announced that the PC version of Resident Evil 5 will hit North American stores on Sept. 14. Europeans will have to wait till Sept. 18.
One of the biggest features of Resident Evil 5 on the PC is its support of the stereoscopic GeForce 3D Vision Glasses. To help muster support for this new technology, Capcom has released a “Resident Evil 5 3D Stereo Benchmark,” which can be downloaded here.
Capcom has stated that Resident Evil 5’s 3D support is “an industry first” because the 3D effects are used “in all of [RE5's] cut scenes,” as well as gameplay.
Other improvements over the console versions include support for higher resolutions, new costumes and a “new and improved mercenaries mode with three times as many enemies.”
