Steam brings in the holidays with new gift feature

Today Valve’s download service, Steam, unveiled its new gift feature. Now when users purchase a game they can select it as a gift. Once they indicate who it’s for, an email will be sent out notifying the lucky gamer. If the recipient is new to Steam, they will be prompted with how to sign up.

This is a pretty neat feature; I have a couple friends who I’d like to send a game for Christmas, but due to circumstances, I won’t be able to see them for a while. Now I can just hook them up with Steam and we are fragging away the holidays.
