The Tubes are abuzz with speculation, over a series of alleged patent applications made by Nintendo that extend the functionality of the Wii Remote. The question is, what do these diagrams really represent?

I think I can make a few guesses.

Starting Sept. 26, you’ll be able to get some special Halo 3 accessories for your Xbox 360, including two controllers and a military-themed wireless headset.

The controllers come decked out showing the UNSC in action or some Covenant artwork by comic book master and action figure guru Todd McFarlane, while the headset is a nice olive green. All of those accessories are $60 each.

Additionally, you’ll be able to get the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit, which includes the Chatpad that allows you to send text messages easily, plus a unique headset that connects to it. That’s $30.

Halo 3 launches Sept. 25.
