With the end of the second set of Soldier Front ladders, the AGC has officially ended all of its ladder competitions. A handful of elite few gamers are taking home great prizes; find out who’s basking in glory below.
Soldier Front 5v5 Ladder #2
Delerium took home gold in this 5v5 competition, edging out Sike (2nd, 1560 rating) and WeOwnU (3rd, 1420).
The fact that Delerium strode atop the ladder is a bit surprising, as WeOwnU were really owning it up early in the competition. Of course, it wasn’t to last. Delerium reeled off an 8-0 record to finish out this ladder.
Congrats to all competitors! Continued…

Translations are starting to filter out from the Soldier Front 2007 World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand, and it looks like the Koreans have another feather to put in their cap.
After a grueling qualifying procedure and finals, Korea came out on top of the 5v5 competition, winning the grand prize of 7,000,000 Korean Won, or approximately $7,600 USD. Nearly 5,000 Thai spectators watched the event unfold at Esplanade Plaza.
Here’s a small gallery of the event and hit the jump for further details.

Now that the Army Gaming Championships season is coming to a close, I sat down with Halo 2 champion Ghost Attack to discuss his AGC season and thoughts on Halo 3. Ghost Attack, also known as Evan Tylenda, is the leader of Over Time, one of the very best teams in this AGC season.
Evan Tylenda: Let me start by saying thank you to AGC for having this tournament and to my team for a job well done.
GGL Wire: First, congrats on winning the AGC Bracket Qualifier and Elite Forces Final Bracket, and placing second in the Ladder Qualifier. You guys have compiled a pretty impressive record over the course of the season — how’d you do it?
Tylenda: Thank you very much. I have been playing Halo 2 ever since it came out and have played it competitively for over two years, so I think that we had a lot more experience than most of the other teams. Continued…

In the AGC, a split second distraction could cost you the match. That’s why the winners of the AGC Elite Forces Finals deserve their praise. They’ve battled through a ladder, a bracket, and another bracket for the chance at cash, prizes and glory in the Army Gaming Championships.
Let’s break down the winners by game: Continued…
Yesterday I got a chance to speak to Army Gaming Championships and DigitalLife Command & Conquer 3 PC ladder leader Khufu_Ownz about his gaming background and experience.
This was right before a scheduled AGC match with Gentho, which unfortunately ended in a loss for Khufu. He’s still the points leader, however, and enthusiastic about his chances in these and future tournaments.
Mahmood: Let’s get your name and age first and any short introduction about yourself.
Khufu_ownz: My name is David Lathrop. I’m 20 years old. This is my first year competitively gaming with LAN events so I’m relatively new to it. Continued…
America’s Army: Special Forces (Overmatch) got updated to version 2.8.2 today, featuring two new game modes. Here are the new gametypes:
* Rummage - Rummage takes place in a small urban environment that lends itself to fast paced close quarters battle. In the mission, insurgents are returning to a small town that was formerly their base of operations
* SF Hospital SE - SF Hospital SE is a revised version of the game’s SF Hospital map and is now much more immersive with the inclusion of dynamic new elements including modified objectives and civilian AI.
The Army Gaming Championships will be using version 2.8.2 of AA:SFO going forward, but will not use the new game modes. Nothing in the AGC tournaments changes except the game version.
Get the patch from the AA Patches site.
