Three people have broken their arms playing a Japanese arm-wrestling arcade cabinet game.  The manufacturer, Atlus, recalling all 150 units placed in Nipponese video arcades.

Arm SpiritAtlus spokesperson Ayano Sakiyama mocked the victims. “The machine isn’t that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it.” She said the machines were being recalled as a “precaution.”

Players of “Arm Spirit” advance through 10 levels, battling a French maid, a drunken martial arts master and a Chihuahua, before reaching the final showdown with a professional wrestler.

The game is not distributed outside of Japan.

Atlus is best known for producing the RPG series Shin Megami Tensei .
