WOW’s ‘Echoes of Doom’ patch out now

Today Blizzard released the ‘Echoes of Doom’ patch for World of Warcraft. This patch, weighing in at 1.2 gigs, add a significant amount of content to the World of Warcraft. What is being added? For starters, Blizzard is implementing its new achievement system. Now WOW will be up there with crack and heroin in terms of addictiveness. Also included in the patch is a new profession, inscription. Blizzard added an in-game guild calendar, the barber shop, an expanded talent tree, and Stormwind Harbor is now open.

That is quite a lot of content to release, especially considering Wrath of the Litch King goes live in a month. This just goes to show that Blizzard takes care of its fans by releasing meaningful updates.

Wrath of the Lich King system requirements announced

In the modern world of PC gaming where games like Crysis are pushing the technological envelope to the point of having to buy new hardware, it is refreshing to see system requirements that are easily obtainable. Blizzard has always been one to make games the masses can run and they continue this tradition with World of Warcraft’s newest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
