THQ and Relic have released the first screenshots of Dawn of War 2, showing off vastly updated graphics from the first title. Dawn of War sold well enough to warrant three expansions, so let’s hope the new game is up to par as well. Check out the Space Marines tearing the Orks a new one below.

Today it was announced that people who purchased Warhammer 40K Dawn of War: Soulstorm will gain access to an invitation-only multiplayer beta for Dawn of War II. There’s been no word as to when the beta will take place.

Since I love the Warhammer 40K universe (I played the table top game until my wallet couldn’t support me), I can’t wait for Dawn of War II. I mean who wouldn’t be excited for a non-linear campaign, a fully co-op multiplayer campaign, fully destructible environments and chainsaw bayonets?

A bevy of GGL tournament news has come down the line, concerning our Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War: Soulstorm, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Big Air Gaming League and Ace Combat 6 competitions. There’s also some news about the Forbidden Kingdom sweepstakes, which could see you win a trip to China, and the awesome GGL Gamer Signature launch.

First, our WH40k tournament ends in only two weeks! You can find all the news about it over at GGL’s Warhammer 40k: Soulstorm group. Currently, Kakashi859 leads the ladder. We’ll have more news about this tournament as it comes in, but stay tuned for what will hopefully be an epic finale.

Registration for our Frontlines: Fuel of War tournament ends in five days, so the window is closing. The good news is that there are still open spots, so you can still easily secure a spot in the 32 team bracket portion of the tourney. What are you waiting for? Hit frontlines.ggl.com for more info and to register.

The Big Air Gaming League will open its Guitar Hero 3 practice ladders on April 15. Hit it up now to shake off the rust and get in more practice before the competition starts.

On the sweepstakes side of things, Lions Gate Entertainment is sponsoring a sweepstakes that could see a GGL member win a trip to China. Register now for your chance to win, and be sure to check out the upcoming Forbidden Kingdom featuring Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

Last but not least, GGL has launched its Gamer Signature card. This allows you to paste your GGL profile to any messageboard or website you frequent with your favorite games, contact info and more. To get started with a Gamer Signature card, register for GGL and then visit your newly created profile. Go to “My Signature” to edit your Gamer Signature.
