Pandemic has added another title to their World of Warcraft 3v3 Arena trophy cabinet by winning ESL’s WoW 3v3 tournament at DreamHack. MoB’s TurtleForce and TurtlePower took second and third place, respectively.

The American team has got an impeccable record in the game. They have won every single event for 3v3 that they entered. But in Sweden, the lineup of Nathan “Kintt” Quinn, Greg “Ecilam” Risselada and Mason “Nitrana” Groendal came closer to defeat than ever - they lost the upper bracket semi final but came back to win the grand final in two sets. The MoB TurtleForce team beat their from MoB TurtlePower in the upper bracket final of ESL’s WoW 3v3 Arena tournament at DreamHack. They are now waiting for whoever comes out of the lower bracket to fight them for $45,000 for first place.

The match attracted a full mini-stadium of people in Hall C of DreamHack and a packed stand near the ESL area. Apparently, World of Warcraft is not as bad a spectator game it is claimed. Perhaps more than in any other country, the title has got mainstream appeal. It is enough to say that the jaw of the waiter in a restaurant in the center of Jonkoping dropped to the very floor when he found out that he was serving food to Blizzard employees that made the game. It is not Pandemic but two MoB teams with a guaranteed top 3 finish in ESL’s 3v3 World of Warcraft Arena tournament at DreamHack. The teams tipped to take the top two places, Pandemic and Fnatic.Insurrection fell to the slight underdogs in the upper bracket semi finals.

“Oh my god,” were the only words the charismatic Godfather, MoB’s manager, had to say right after the win. He had a good reason to be happy, since both semi finals started off really bad for his teams.
