The weekend’s ESL Extreme Masters Main Round Warcraft 3 matches featured Grubby taking on two different opponents. In his first match, the Orc, Grubby, found himself opposite LiiLD.C, and in his second match Grubby would face DowaQ.
Grubby vs. LiiLD.C started off on Secret Valley where the Dutchman took a 1-0 lead. The Night Elf LiilD.C managed to tie up the score when he defeated Grubby on Twisted Meadows to make the score 1-1. In the deciding round on Echo Isles Grubby beat LiiLD.C to earn a solid 2-1 victory in his first match of the Extreme Masters Main Round. Continued…

Yesterday’s ESL EMII Warcraft 3 competitions started off with an Undead/Nightelf match between HasuObs and NightWOlf. Hasu took the first match of the set while NightWOlf quickly countered to even the score 1-1. In the game-winning match, HasuObs pulled out the win against NightWOlf to win 2-1.
The next match featured XyLigan battling with eLquA. XyLigan beat eLquA in the first round to gain an early advantage. On the second map XyLigan defeated eLquA again to establish his first win with a solid 2-0 victory.
In the last match of the day, elfitta and KnOfF started out their Orc vs. Undead match up on Echo Isles where elfitta took a 1-0 lead over KnOfF. KnOfF regained his composure and evened up the score 1-1 on Secret Valley. In a must win situation on Terenas Stand, elfitta beat KnOfF to take the match 2-1. Continued…

ESL’s Extreme Masters II Main Round Counter-Strike 1.6 continued today with three matches as SK Gaming took on Team Roccat, forZe fought Man1a Gaming EM, and mTw.PokerRoom met with Against All Authority.
The first round of Counter-Strike between SK Gaming and Team Roccat started out on de_nuke. SK won in dominating fashion, crushing Roccat 16-6 in the first round of play. Team Roccat needed to tie the match on de_inferno, but SK was unrelenting and took the match with a 16-10 win. Continued…

The first rounds of the Extreme Masters Season II Main Round Counter-Strike 1.6 competition kicked off with PGSPokerStrategy.com facing Virtus.pro in the first round of pairings on de_nuke, de_train, and de_dust2.
The match started on de_nuke, where Virtus.pro took a strong lead deciding the map 16-5 over PGS. On de_train, PGS rallied back to defeat Virtus 16-8, but it wasn’t to last. On the deciding map, de_dust2, Virtus.pro edged out a victory 16-11 over PGS.
Counter-Strike Main Rounds will recommence on 11/28 with forZe taking on Man1a Gaming EM and Team NoA playing Meet Your Makers. For more information on upcoming matches, visit the ESL EM II schedules (CS1.6, Warcraft III).
The Electronic Sports League has finalized the participants list for the Intel Extreme Masters Los Angeles event, to take place Oct. 18-21 during E For All.
A total of $65,000 ($45,000 for Counter-Strike, $20,000 for Warcraft 3) is up for grabs during this Extreme Masters II Qualifier, and a good mix of U.S. and foreign teams/players will attend.
