Yesterday some details were revealed about Sony and Wizards of the Coast’s up coming Eye of Judgment expansion. Due out March 27, the new expansions will featuring 100 new cards. Booster pack will cost you the standard $3.99 and theme decks will go for $14.99.

There is some bad news however. After you buy your new cards, you will not be able to use them until you pay for an update to Eye of Judgment. This update will contain new artwork, animations, and rules. If you decide not to update, you will still be able to play against people who updated, but needless to say you will be at a disadvantage. There has been no price announced for this update yet.

As a result, sneaky online players will be able to download a torrent of every single card and stack their deck the way they want. Continued…

Since spending a little time with the PlayStation 3 card battle and Eyetoy game Eye of Judgment at PAX, I’ve more or less been in love with not only the title itself, but also the forward-thinking concept. After hearing that this bad boy was here at DigitalLife, my eyes lit up like a little kid at Christmas. There was no doubt, I would be getting some more Eye of Judgment playtime here at DigitalLife. What I didn’t expect, however, was the epic battle that could ensue from just a demo.

The next “why didn’t anyone think of this before” title to appear on the forward-thinking PS3 is the card game Eye of Judgment.
