Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe hits stores Nov. 16

Today Midway sent out a press release announcing that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will hit North American stores on Nov 16. Europeans will have to wait till Nov 21 to get their copy.

For those of you who don’t know about this game, MKvsDC brings together classic Mortal Kombat characters like Sub-Zero and Liu Kang to brawl against DC comics all stars such as Superman, Batman, and the Joker. The game will be available on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Sakura confirmed in Street Fighter IV

Today Street fighter Alpha fan can rest easy. It has been confirmed that Sakura will join the cast of Street Fighter IV’s console release. Also joining is Seth, the boss of SFIV’s arcade version. This brings the console exclusive character total to five, including Dan, Cammy and Fei-Long.

As somewhat of a Street Fighter connoisseur, this news makes my day. There is nothing like owning a fireball spammer by exploiting Sakura’s arcing hurricane kick.

Street Fighter IV is currently being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. No release date has been announced yet, however many predict that it will be out by early 2009.
