
Week 2 of Quake Nations Cup has just started with two Quake 3 Matches. First, Sweden won in three maps against Italy. fojji and sLONKEN played great games for the Scandanavian Quake owners, while Polterizer was one of most important players for team Italy.The second game was between Serbia and Belarus. Even with Cypher in the Belarus lineup, Serbia managed to win in three maps.

After the live draw of the Basic Groups in the Quake Nations Cup, we moved to Week 1 of matches in TDM across the Quake series.
The first match of the Quake Nations Cup was played between Sweden and Austria. Both teams played a really great game and fojji and Noctis showed audience on GTV how to play on DM7 and PDM6.

In the Quake Nations Cup, there are 28 nations in 68 squads made of 486+ Quakers in QuakeWorld, Quake 2, Quake 3 and Quake 4. Every nation has its own page with an overview of all of the teams’ games. Teams add their contact info to their profiles in order to schedule matches.

Germany’s videogame review board, USK, is notorious for not allowing certain titles in the former Third Reich to be sold and it seems that it is time to add Clive Barker’s Jericho to that list. With games like Manhunt 2 and Gears of War banned, it’s actually no surprise that the gore fest that is Jericho was denied the right to see the light of day in Germany. The German news site Heise confirmed that the Codemasters title had just too many “brutal scenes” for the fragile eyes of the German youth. As a result of this ban, the game will not be allowed to be sold either in retail or online and it will not be allowed to be advertised anywhere in Germany. Ouch.
Crytek, makers of Far Cry and the upcoming Crysis, may be forced to leave Germany if the country enacts a proposed ban on “killer” game production.
Avni Yerli, founder of Crytek, told Welt Online: “Budapest is a lovely city. We already have a branch office there,” when speaking about the potential relocation. England, Scotland, Austria and Singapore are also on the list. Continued…
