John Woo’s Stranglehold is officially gold on the Xbox 360 platform and will hit stores Sept. 14, while the PlayStation 3 and PC versions are slightly delayed.

The PC version was first supposed to hit shelves simultaneously with the 360 version, but will now be in stores Sept. 18. The PS3 version has been moved back to Sept. 25 following some confusion about its release date.

Stranglehold follows Tequila, played by Chow Yun Fat, as he tries to unravel the mystery behind the kidnapping of a policeman. It’s a prequel to John Woo’s Hard Boiled, and promises plenty of bullet-time action and physics-defying gunplay. A demo is now downloadable through Xbox LIVE if you want to check it out.
